We built the dataset we kept wishing existed
MarketLens Global is a commodity and economic research company. We collect, clean and deliver the price and trade data that physical commodity businesses depend on — and we keep the history, because that is where the answers usually are.
The problem
The data exists. It just isn't usable.
Every commodity business already has access to prices. They are scattered across a dozen websites, a WhatsApp group, a PDF notification and somebody's memory of what the mandi called this morning. By the time it is assembled into a spreadsheet, it is a day old and nobody can say exactly where any of it came from.
That is fine until a customer disputes an escalation clause, or a purchase has to be timed, or a bank asks for evidence behind a valuation. Then the absence of a clean, dated, sourced record costs real money.
What we do about it
Collect it properly, once, for everyone
We run automated collection against primary sources every trading day — exchanges, price reporters, regulators and mandi boards. The output is normalised into consistent units and currencies, stored with full history, and delivered through a dashboard, an export or a direct feed into your systems.
Our coverage is deliberately shaped around one region's real trading needs first: Pakistan's import-heavy economy, where the local rate, the international benchmark and the arriving vessel all have to be watched at the same time.
What we hold today
Coverage at a glance
How we work
Principles we don't trade away
Attribution always
Every figure names its source and its date. If we cannot say where a number came from, we do not publish it.
History is never overwritten
Revisions are added, not substituted. What you saw last month is still recoverable this month.
No invented prices
We report what the market published. Where a series has a gap, we show the gap rather than filling it with an estimate.
Client data stays private
Your account, your watchlists and your shipments are yours. We do not resell or expose them.
Coverage follows clients
When a client needs a grade or region we do not track, we build a collector for it rather than telling them it is out of scope.
Plain answers
If the data cannot support a conclusion, we say so. Research is worth less than nothing when it is confidently wrong.
Who we serve
Across the physical commodity economy
Commodity traders and brokers, importers and exporters, steel mills, foundries and re-rollers, refiners and fuel distributors, rice and cotton exporters, textile groups, banks and investment desks, and economic research teams.
