Why it matters
Seasonality is only visible if somebody wrote it down
Agricultural pricing turns on harvest timing, support prices, import decisions and the weather. None of that is legible from a single day's rate — it needs years of recorded history, which is exactly what most desks never kept.
- Season-over-season comparison. See this year's wheat curve against the last three, not just last week.
- Local versus landed. Compare the mandi rate with the imported equivalent to time procurement.
